Here are some tidbits about the "tailwags" in my life:
Amelia:
This little cutie is my baby. I got her when she was just 5 weeks old and weighed about 4 pounds. I'll never forget the night I picked her up from Stillwater (my brother and sister-in-law's dog had puppies and they were both at OSU going to school). I had picked her out when she was just about 2 weeks old and had a cute little brown heart on her back - so when I went to pick her up, I knew exactly which one was mine :) I had brought a box down with me for her to ride in on our way back to Tulsa, but her cries sounded so pitiful that I let her sleep in my lap all the way home. We've been through a lot together and I love when she looks up at me and I can still see the same faces she made as a little puppy. I've taken I don't know how many pictures of her in the 3 years since I picked her up, but I know that I'll eventually share some of the cuter ones here :)
Addie:
Oh Addie. Isn't she beautiful??
Addie has been a part of the family for just over 2 years. I adopted her from a family that just didn't have the time for this sweet, sweet girl. I had the two dogs meet before I officially made the decision to bring Addie home, and I was a little nervous that they mainly ignored each other and were more interested in the people that were there. But after I brought her home to Amelia, they ran around in the backyard just like old friends. They've been running and playing together every day since then. Addie is very much a people-loving dog - she's always concerned with where we are and she is almost always in the room with us. I've never met such a sweet and loving dog and I'm thankful every day that I had the opportunity to give her the loving home she deserves.
I love to watch "the girls" play. As you can maybe tell, Addie is a little bigger than Amelia - just big enough in fact, that Amelia can fit underneath Addie. That's their stance for most of their playing (at least when they're not tearing through the yard or the house). It's cute to watch, and so very hard to get a good picture - but I'm trying :)
Oh my gosh, your pups are adorable!! It's great that they get along.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm pretty fond of them myself :) Thanks for stopping by!!
